laura071693 42 Posted July 8, 2019 I know every doctor requires different pre OP diets. My question is what did your pre OP diet look like? What would your day consist of? I'm looking for ideas.Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
RickM 1,752 Posted July 8, 2019 Ours was basically the same as for a colonoscopy - Clear Liquids the day before surgery with a bowel prep/clean out in the afternoon/evening. The last is a bit of overkill for a VSG, but is understandable as their mainline procedure then was the DS where they are operating on the lower end of things. 1 1 sillykitty and Frustr8 reacted to this
apiane 174 Posted July 8, 2019 Mine is one week. It's Full liquids with two servings of either fruit or veggies per day. They want me to make sure I get 80-90 g of Protein in per day.
KCgirl061 1,532 Posted July 8, 2019 My surgeon makes his patients buy Optifast drinks from his clinic. I suppose so we are "financially invested" in sticking to it. We could supplement with V8 and clear broths when we need a break from the sweet. I would sub Premier Protein drinks for the variety of flavors and cheated once with egg drop Soup.
