Sharon B A 113 Posted July 6, 2019 Ive struggled with my weight all my life, it judt seems like a never ending battle. I had a failed lap band and I've now been approved for the DS on July 23rd 2019.. I'm so excited about also extremely nervous! I don't want to fail! I'm having anxiety dreams about being the only person to gain 25lbs a month after the surgery lol. Any and all encouragement and advice is welcome! Thank you!! Krestel 330 Posted July 6, 2019 (edited) Lapband surgery has the lowest success of all the WLS so dont beat yourself up too much. In fact many have to have revision surgery because of it. In Sweden, they are doing revisions all the time due to the complications from lapband. (Sweden has tons of research on WLS surgery which is used around the wolrd. Since it's covered by universal healthcare the (anonymous) information is used for studies all the time. Patients also have the chance to participate in studies.)
