Tippytoes240 12 Posted July 5, 2019 How often do you all workout. I’m 6 weeks post op and wondering am I getting enough exercise because the scale isn’t moving
domi 237 Posted July 5, 2019 (edited) It takes a little while after surgery for your body to regulate. How often you work out depend on how you are feeling. Your surgeon will give you the go ahead to increase exercise. Until he/she does, walk. I walked as much and as often as I could. Make sure you are getting your Protein and Water in and the scale will start moving. Some people in the beginning of their journey have some Constipation and once this is relieved, they start losing weight. I was finally cleared at 2 months to start with a physical trainer, that really got my weight loss going. Good luck to you on your journey. Don't compare yourself to others because we all lose at different rates. Take Care. Edited July 5, 2019 by domi
KCgirl061 1,532 Posted July 5, 2019 (edited) Stalls are normal postoperatively - exercise or not. You'll go through periods where the scale doesn't move and there isn't anything you need to do to 'fix' it, just keep doing what youre supposed to be doing. Look up Embrace the Stall in these forums. It is helpful in explaining. Edited July 5, 2019 by KCgirl061
Tippytoes240 12 Posted July 5, 2019 Thanks you guys, I’m going to continue my journey. I think I’m too anxious for one but hopefully this scale will shake rattle and roll. ❤️
