I had to call a Lyft after I had my IUD placed, no way would I be able to drive after that! 😳

I'm too scared and asked my mommy to take off work to go with me. LOL. Even if I can drive, I feel like I will be nauseous just thinking about what just occurred.

OMGGGG. I called the SurgiCenter to get the actual cost (the one on the plastic surgeon's form was an estimate) and she put in the wrong CPT code and originally said the facility charge was TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. I almost had a heart attack.

That sounds reallllly high. I know friends who have gotten mommy makeovers and paid less total than that surgery center charge

Is it just a function of being in a small market? They have a captive audience and can charge whatever the heck they want?

Oh no, they put in the wrong CPT code and it came up 12K. The actual facility charge is like 2K once they put in the right code!! That's why I almost had a heart attack when she originally said 12K. I was like UMMMM *nervous laughter*

FOUR DAYS! Until I get that pesky under-armpit "sideflap" of skin removed! I already have scars along there from my breast reduction so... that's a plus (?) I am so nervous to be awake, though. Barf.

All went well. Took about 2 hours, but was pretty much painless. Starting to sting a little now.

So glad it went well for for you. I had a Tummy Tuck in early 2000. I wanted to get my thighs done and my boobs done, but insurance only approved my tummy tuck. The Dr said that when the remove skin from your upper thighs it can make you look "open for business" in the private area.

Everything is going well! Slept a lot today, but Tylenol is just fine for any lingering pain. Just burns a bit on and off. I took a peak and it is so smoooooth. Mind you, this is still with the SteriStrips on. I cannot WAIT to shower tomorrow and also go bra shopping soon!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
