polly... 71 Posted July 1, 2019 I am really interested in chia seeds, after reading about them. However I've only seen people use them in shakes (I don't do) or in yogurt ( not too fond of crunchy yogurt). Does anyone have different uses, recipes, etc for consuming chia seeds? Wickedwinner 140 Posted July 1, 2019 When chia seeds get wet, they expand and are not crunchy. If you put them in yogurt overnight and eat the next day they will be soft. Look at receipts on Pinterest for over night oats. You can follow some of those just leave out the oats if you don’t eat them. MrsGamgee 756 Posted July 1, 2019 I use them in overnight oats too or chia puddings. I also add them to my homemade vinaigrettes.Sent from my SM-G960W using BariatricPal mobile app 1 1 Wickedwinner and polly... reacted to this
BlondePatriotInCDA 524 Posted December 10, 2023 I use chia seeds in my Protein balls. There are tons of protein ball recipes, I just pick one and add the seeds!
Tomo 1,194 Posted December 12, 2023 I mix them with all kinds of blended fruit with lemon juice in it. Basic recipe:2 cups fresh or frozen fruit2 tablespoons chia seed1 tablespoon freshly-squeezed lemon juice1–2 tablespoons honey or maple Syrup (only if needed for others)The other day I had 6 lbs of extra plums and they were overripe, so I chopped them up, sauteed them for a couple minutes, and pressure cooked them for one minute, natural release. Afterwards I added the chia seed (and lemon juice to taste)).. It was so delicious!!!
