Butterfly#7 65 Posted June 30, 2019 It's been a month since my.GS procedure and my abdomen is still very sore. I still have difficulty bending over. I know that everyone tolerates pain differently, but I'm just curious of when others started feeling relief from abdominal soreness? GradyCat 3,695 Posted June 30, 2019 I never really had any. I guess we all respond differently.
Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 30, 2019 Well you did have fibers pushed aside, 3/4 of your stomach removed, even cuts through your muscles, I would give it 6 weeks total, if no better I think you should let them know you are still so sore!
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted June 30, 2019 The omentum was detached from the fundus and believe it or not it will move over and reattach to the smaller stomach, plus nerves were moved around, and your stomach was pulled out of that small hole - it will be sore for awhile. It gets better. My sternum was very sore when I moved suddebly. A heating pad on low really helped.
victoriaobe 24 Posted June 30, 2019 Mine is sore on the lower right! Getting up and down is what really hurts. Anyone else like this? Oh, and coughing is a killer.
anna0619 1 Posted June 30, 2019 I'm about two weeks out of GS and feel your soreness. Especially the area were they pulled the stomach through. Thanks for the heads up on how long y'all are feeling the soreness for. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
