NancyLF 234 Posted June 29, 2019 My original date of June 17 had to be cancelled because I failed my stress test, which in turn caused the surgery to be postponed. Everything’s OK now & I officially have a new date! July 22nd awaits! I’m excited, nervous & pumped all at once. The countdown begins! 5 3 Jessviera, smaller_sav, KarenLR75 and 5 others reacted to this
GradyCat 3,696 Posted June 29, 2019 I'm glad they were cautious and checked you out prior to surgery. Good luck on your WLS journey. 2 NancyLF and KarenLR75 reacted to this

fluffy diva 4 Posted June 30, 2019 Hi Kathaleen, I am scheduled for July 22, 2019 also I am going to Nevada a place called Blossom Bariatrics. Well actually my stress test is the 22nd and my surgery is 7/24/19. I hope to God I don't fail my stress test . I was told if I could walk on a treadmill for 20 minutes without chest pains I should be fine. But I start my liquid diet on July 8, they recommend 14 days prior. NancyLF 234 Posted July 1, 2019 Hey, Sleeve Sister! My doctor isn’t as strict on the liquid diet 2 week pre-op as others. He said that I should avoid carbs- cut out the Pasta, bread, etc... you know, the “good” stuff. LOL! He allows soft foods, yogurt, scrambled eggs, etc. I’ll probably do what I did before my date was changes. Do the soft food thing for a week & switch to all liquid for the final week. 1 kathaleen revell reacted to this

I wished I had listened to my doctor who had been urging me to have the surgery two years ago!! My surgery was 7 weeks ago today. So far, I have lost a little over 50 pounds. I am not feeling hungry, which makes it SO much easier. 1 shanshan reacted to this

I was sore afterward, but not in actual pain. They gave me a prescription for a pain killer, but I only used them the 1st 2 nights at home. After that, I didn't need them. I spent 1 night in the hospital. Mom -surgery Tues - home Wed - rested. Thurs - I was driving around - just another normal day. LOL! 1 shanshan reacted to this

It was smooth for me no pain, no discomfort, no nausea, no vomitting 2 days after my procedure I flew home. So far I'm down 35lbs but in the last week i hit a stall. After surgery I was a little tired it lasted about 2 weeks now i do Zumba 3 days per week and I walk (3 miles ) 3 days per week. The best decision I could have made 1 shanshan reacted to this
