dwalters1990 2 Posted June 23, 2019 I'm having an awful time with returning to my old habits. I was doing so well and now I feel like I've wasted the opportunity I was given to get healthy. I have been thinking about trying a 10 day "reset diet" but I'm kind of skeptical if it actually works. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using BariatricPal mobile app 1 1 jennypenny1998 and Tracyringo reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,430 Posted June 23, 2019 Hi! Did you return to your team for help & tips first? That might be the place to start. But also motivation may be hard to find on your own so maybe returning to bariatric support groups if you've stop attending. Have you attempted to refine your diet again? Perhaps removing the foods that arent on your initial plan may kickstart weightloss immediately. Good luck 💜 YOU can do it 🏆 1 longroad34 reacted to this
mi75 1,235 Posted June 23, 2019 Yes, I agree go back to your team and start there. I'm 5 years out today. I had some regain and I got inside my own head, searching everything I could to lose it. Once I had a health scare, I got OUT of my own head and went back to doing what I knew. My regain came off. I went back to my team and see them occasionally, even 5 years out! jennypenny1998 41 Posted June 26, 2019 I have regained a bit as well and have been wanting to do the two week reset. I have heard from others that it works, but am not sure myself. I keep telling myself "I'll start tomorrow" then lunch rolls around and I am so hangry that I give in to food and not the shakes. I don't have a "team" and have never really had one. My doctor's office has always seemed uninterested and very in and out. The last time I talked with my doctor about the weight gain, they suggested I take Multivitamins and do some crunches. I have IC so going to the gym is difficult for me, so I feel like the reset would be most beneficial. When I finally do start, I will share my results. 1 longroad34 reacted to this
longroad34 32 Posted September 3, 2019 I to have gone back to some old habits and now that I gained enough weight back to beat myself up . I no longer even live in the same state to go in for a follow up . I am the point that I can’t eat a lot of foods but still can’t seem to lose . The shakes all taste so sweet I can’t get myself to drink them . 1 Tracyringo reacted to this
Tracyringo 503 Posted September 3, 2019 You could always tweek it and do a day or 2 of liquids then go to 3 squares meat or seafood and some veggies (no snacking ) and make sure you weigh and measure your portions. Its hard getting off the carbs once you start them. ( I am not talking about rice or potato ) Processed food and junk food can be the worst. Good luck 2 longroad34 and KathyLynn160 reacted to this
Screwballski 540 Posted September 3, 2019 If you’ve stopped tracking your food, load an app (I use LoseIt) and start tracking again. Don’t stop tracking! That personal accountability habit is key. There is Step One. 🙂 1 Tracyringo reacted to this

I moved 250 miles after my first surgery and got a new surgeon as soon as I moved. You need one to keep track of your yearly bloodwork. Plus if you end up with any complications you will want one that is familiar with you.
looly 361 Posted February 1, 2020 Intermittent fasting might do the trick.
hmills653 365 Posted February 18, 2020 Every so often I have to get myself back on track, I’m not sure about reset but if I cut out breads, Pasta, rice and focus on Proteins, eggs, chicken, salad, Peanut Butter, cream cheese and peppers, etc, I can lose a few pounds and feel less bloated. 1 Tracyringo reacted to this
