thillman1987 43 Posted September 19, 2019 Surgery was done yesterday. Still sore but it takes time to get better. I’m biggest thing is knowing if I’m full or hungry it’s hard to tell right now, I hope that gets easier.I have that same feeling right now! It's weird. I had a lot of pain when I first woke up. But he morphine drip eventually calmed it. That was around 4 pm. By midnight I was no longer pushing the bottom for morphine. Now I’m just resting comfortably. I am getting an odd gas’s pain in my shoulder and upper back that comes and goes. That pain is worse than the surgery pain. But even then it eventually subsides. I was able to drink Water well. I drank my Liquid Protein but I couldn’t stomach the Jello. Overall I’m happy. Not too much pain and so glad it’s over. I looked like I was 7 months pregnant with all the gas and fluid, ugh! Glad you are on the road to recovery!
