Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app No way. Too afraid! I quit before surgery but sitting around doing nothing all day makes me bored and that's where the cravings come in. Also, I'm staying with my parents for the time being until I feel like I can completely take care of myself (I'm single and live alone with two doggies) - But my Mom smokes like a pack a day. So hopefully once I'm back into a good routine and away from her nicotine I will lose the craving!

Pop a sugar free mint in your mouth and (unfortunately) be a pessimist and remember all the problems associated with smoking with bariatric surgery. 1 angel19 reacted to this

danieocean 260 Posted June 27, 2019 I quit for 3 months before surgery and started smoking again 3 months after. Not recommending it as smoking is bad for you regardless. But I gave up all my other vices. I felt like this is the only one I have left! I'll work on quitting when I'm ready. Just like with my weight loss. It's one of those stupid things I never should've started again. Had a reallllly stressful day at work. I have a client who just does not like me and has been trying to get me fired. It made and still makes no sense...I did nothing to her! But, just like that, I started back up. I've had no issues though. I mean aside from the side effects that smoking causes on its own. End of the day no one should smoke. It's a really tough habit to kick. Best of luck my friends!!!

Everytime you put the cigarette to your lips? Think , I have one hour less with each puff. I am doing it to stop drinking. My friend who smoked. She is back in the hospital! I am working at making my vice = exercise. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
J'kie 35 Posted June 30, 2019 I smoked after my surgery and got an "Ulcer". That crap hurts, now i have to get an Endoscopy done on the 12th of july (ugh) maybe even surgery. Definitely wasn't worth it. The crazy part is i don't even smoke anymore smh. I was 2 years clean from cigarettes until after the surgery. Then depression hit and i tried smoking again. Now im suffering greatly because of it. Once my ulcer pain got worse i never touched another cigarette again and never will. Take it from me, it's totally not worth it. Just be strong. You got this...!!!!Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app
