Overate and feeling it

Recommended Posts

I lost my damn mind and pigged out on "cookie brownies", chips, and goldfish crackers. Like 1,000 calories worth in an hour. I usually don't even eat 1,000 calories in a whole day and I almost never eat that kind of crap.

I feel terrible mentally but I might honestly feel worse physically. Kind of that feeling where you wish you could throw up so you'd just feel better.

I'm going to lay down and take my punishment for what I've done. Blegh.

Tomorrow is a new day.

forgiveness starts within - forgive but don't forget.

hope you have a better day going forward.

when you have a quiet moment see if you can find the reason you "lost my dam mind". was it an event or some other external pressure. You may not find the reason but at least look back and see if the trigger is there.

wishing you well

I agree with Allwet..if you find what triggered your binge, you can learn a how to avoid having a repeat " losing of your damn mind.. lol😁

All seriousness it's ok to slip,, but never ok to quit. Start over tomorrow,, you got this

Whatever makes you feel badly, stop doing
Whatever gives you deep joy, this you should continue
And that is a simple, yet effective. bit of wisdom.

Egh. I've done that too. Not to that extreme I think but just that mindless eating and stuffing bite after bite. I hope you can get past it and it doesn't happen again.

Hopefully you'll remember how it felt and not do it again

I know exactly what my trigger was... anxiety. And what better way to handle that than eating, right?!

I've talked to my husband about it so he can help me refocus and calm down. Anxiety is a trigger for me and I know yet. Yesterday it got the best of me, but it's not winning today!

Thank you all for the support. My punishment continues today as the scale is up almost 2 full pounds overnight (I'm a daily weigher) as I retain Water and my body revolts against yesterday's torture.

I have had several days like this and am only 4 months post op. it makes you feel like absolute crap, mentally and physically. All we can do is forgive ourselves and move on. Maybe another activity to take our minds off wanting to eat our feelings or out of boredom. now I just need to practice what I preach lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
