Briswife15 890 Posted June 17, 2019 Ah! It gets easier. Just take lots of little sips. There is swelling in your pouch. Give it time. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
gabybab 696 Posted June 17, 2019 This is pretty typical and I had trouble too. I can now chug Water. It gets way better.

Im just ready to feel normal Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using BariatricPal mobile app Check with your Dr. I had to get fluids 2x and they do it out patient. It will make you feel better and I could do it 3x a week if I needed to. Good luck!
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted June 17, 2019 Sip constantly, carry whatever you need to drink with you everywhere, it gets better. Dizziness is a sign of dehydration, drink salty Bone Broth - it helps. It is very difficult to get rehydrated once you are in true dehydration, watch out for that. Some people end up needing an IV to combat it, if your urine is dark, scanty, and your hand skin stays pinched when you tug it up and you pass out a lot - have someone take you to ER/Urgent care. Stay rested, sip, sip, sip - those are your only jobs right now. 1 Ashmar reacted to this
Guest Posted June 18, 2019 Hi there! Even pre-op, I was terrible at keeping hydrated, but now post-op, my body really tells me when I'm not giving it enough Water. I fill a big jug of waterat the beginning of the day, add lemon rind and mint leaves and then leave it out of the fridge. When you drink cold water, you stomach contracts as it has to use energy to warm it up which can cause tummy ache. Try drinking room temperature or warm water.Sent from my moto g(6) using BariatricPal mobile app

KCgirl061 1,532 Posted June 21, 2019 You have to continue to sip for several weeks, perhaps even months post. I still don't tolerate ice Water and ask for it room temp. I can drink warm drinks like tea and coffee a lot faster than water. I remember having a lot of dizzy spells too. They did go away at some point but I didn't notice when exactly. Hang in there! Feeling normal will return again but it does take time. 2 Destinyro and Frustr8 reacted to this

Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 21, 2019 Maybe a little dismotility from all the intubations. Many of your body areas have no sense of humor when they feel they have been hurt too much. Yeah, I do hope time heals all things!🏆👍
