Protein Shakes

Hi all,

I’m almost 2 weeks out from surgery and currently on my purée diet. When did u all start Protein Shakes? My info from the doctors office doesn’t indicate and I have a few pre-made Premier Protein shakes left over from my pre-op diet. Just want some input b4 I try them.

My plan includes a Protein Shake on the puree and soft food stages. I drink one in between meals or for Breakfast. It is a backup during the weekends when I am busy.

Mine was day 8. Full liquids.

I was given the go ahead at 1 week post op for full liquids and purée. That included Protein Shakes

Started full liquids in hospital. Been drinking Glucose Control Boost (blech!). Trying to get to where I'm drinking 4 each day, then I get my full measure of Protein in.

Day 2 for me, too. Still on 4 shakes a day due to a complication. I'm 3 months out.
