Hi there, don't be nervous... Nancy does a good fill. You won't feel a thing. and she's as quick as a bunny.

I go in Tues. 27th for my 5th fill so I'll just miss you

To bad I will miss you peaches. I am kinda worried cause it feels like my port is sideways now... I am travelling from edmonton and i hope they can still do the fill... Where you there for 2 hours for your first fill?

don't worry about the sideways port... mine is too and she(fill nurse) has no problems... don't go borrowing trouble o.k.

I think the first fill is two hours because you can stay for a seminar (important) afterwards and get lots of useful info and meet others in the same boat.

Hi

How are you doing after your fill? I'm doing okay. I got 2 c.c.s. I do feel restriction. I couldn't even finish my Protein Shake this morning. And a little food is really filling me up. Hope things went well with you. Did you book your next fill yet? I want to get mine in 2 weeks I want to be good and restricted for Christmas. Any way it was good meeting you. Good Luck and keep in touch.

Hope

Hi, I ma so glad we met on Monday. I had 5cc filled. The max on the first fill. I don't feel any different. I keep waiting to feel some kind of restriction but it is weird i dont feel it and I can eat like i was before the fill. I am being really careful not to overeat. I am going back on Thursday as Dr Yau has to drain a lump I got from the surgery and I am going to ask about the none restriciton I am feeling. I am kinda mad as I had spoken to someone at the clinic prior to my flying out here and she said that Dr Yau would look at it when I got my fill and he is not there until Thursday. I had prev emailed them pics... Well They know I am from out of town and told me to come back for him to look at it. Good thing I was in town longer than a day. I am kinda in a frustrated mood.

I got another fill today. .75 cc's for a total of 9 now... I hope I'll have room left in my band if I still need more to attain my sweet spot.

I havn't had any restriction for the last two wks and gained 2 lbs. :D

Not impressed with that.

Lets all wish each other Luck on this journey and keep checking back with results... I want us all to loose 5 - 10 lbs by Xmas!!!

:clap2:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
