amaynard 151 Posted June 10, 2019 Hi everyone! I am scheduled to have the RNY on 7/2 woooohooooo! Problem (but not so problem): I am getting married on October 18th! I have no idea how I should plan to buy my wedding dress. I am currently a bridal size 18 or 20 depending on fit. Any one have any kind of experience with this. I know they say to buy a corset dress, but literally have not found one I like. I am considering more of a rustic/romantic style lace dress. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!! 2 GreenTealael and Frustr8 reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted June 10, 2019 First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on both your upcoming WLS and your upcoming wedding. I don't know the answer to your question, as it's a dilemma for sure, but I wanted to send you best wishes. 3 Frustr8, amaynard and GreenTealael reacted to this

I’d love to renew my vows in a nice boho gown on the beach... it’s been my dream but my weight stopped me... 28 lbs to goal and I’m considering it☺️ 4 GreenTealael, Frustr8, justmetj and 1 other reacted to this
elcee 3,341 Posted June 10, 2019 I would wait until about a month before to choose a dress. 4 amaynard, GreenTealael, Frustr8 and 1 other reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,430 Posted June 10, 2019 ⬆⬆ Agreed ⬆⬆ Also try being super flexible about the dress particulars. If you find one you absolutely love & fits extremely well... ask if they carry the next two sizes around it (up and down) and can hold those for you as well just in case. Its going to be very hard to estimate where you'll be (weight wise) by that time. 4 amaynard, Nay143, justmetj and 1 other reacted to this
amaynard 151 Posted June 10, 2019 Thank you all for your comments/suggestions. I think I’m going to go on Wednesday to be fitted again, and then decide what I want to do! :) 3 Frustr8, justmetj and GradyCat reacted to this
RickM 1,752 Posted June 11, 2019 Predicting how much weight loss or size change will happens at a specific time is about the hardest thing to do in this game (will you lose 30 lb in those three months, or 60?) Flexibility is the key. Wedding night attire is much easier! Congratulations and good luck! 2 amaynard and Frustr8 reacted to this

Sweettoothless 100 Posted June 11, 2019 Also your proportions might shift around. I would lose in odd places and not in others so that certain clothes I owned would look bad/weird on me instead of just too big. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Sweettoothless 100 Posted June 11, 2019 To explain better, I used to have to dress around my bubble butt even at lower weights than I am now. But the bubble butt oddly got less bubbly. And my boobs which are always the first to go, didn't shrink up as much as I predicted. You might find yourself wanting a mermaid design or total other type of dress that you previously never thought would look good on you. 1 1 Frustr8 and amaynard reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 11, 2019 Maybe Bariatric Surgery is a degreaser? Seems to have demolished your Bubble Butt, and. you're lucky you didn't lose your Upper Story, because I did- now I have the tube sox with the 2 tennis balls. Any more and I will have to install Seat Belt Retractors so I can roll them back up and replace them in my bra. Maybe I can find a lying bra, one that makes me look "perky" not recently demolished!😳 2 amaynard and Sweettoothless reacted to this
