Guest Posted June 8, 2019 My surgery is on Tues (11th June). I've spent the last two weeks on the pre-op milk diet; it's been painful, as I'm sure a lot of us know.I am really anxious about the surgery itself and I've been battling a lot of thoughts about keyhole/open surgery. My anxiety has me convinced that my liver won't be small enough for keyhole and they'll have to cut me open.I'm so excited to have this tool but I wish I could fall asleep tonight and wake up this time next week, with surgery and being in hospital over and done with.Sent from my moto g(6) using BariatricPal mobile app
Qbaby08 11 Posted June 8, 2019 What’s the milk diet?
Guest Posted June 8, 2019 What’s the milk diet?Oh it's a milk only pre-op diet prescribed by my surgeon. Per day: 3.5 pints of milk, 1+ litre of Water, 1-2 cups of chicken stock. I can also have sugar free jelly and celery.Sent from my moto g(6) using BariatricPal mobile app
justmetj 421 Posted June 8, 2019 Before my surgery I asked my surgeon how often he has to do an "open" surgery and he said it's very uncommon these days and it has been years since he's done one.
