Down 25 lbs and just exhausted. It’s week 8 and I had no energy to exercise this week, I had been doing great with 45 minutes 3x a week with 20 minutes of cardio on elliptical. Eating a no/low carb diet with high Protein. No nausea. Fluids are a struggle but min 48 oz going in. I am terrible at taking my Vitamins and know this is probably the issue but they are gross. Even after switching brands not better. Need a little motivation and encouragement.

You're doing so good with your exercise routine. With as little as you are eating you absolutely need your Vitamins. I have the mixed fruit chewable and take 2 a day. It says 4 but I have all the vitamins in my Protein Drinks so I figure I'll start with 2. I eased into them as I also didn't like the flavor and started with one and stopped at 2, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I have noticed that it has helped. You need them to take care of yourself and to build muscles. It is my new "well you just have to do it" stuff like Protein drinks. Mind over matter I guess. Also, muscle weighs more than fat, so you may be losing inches, but not losing pounds as you are gaining muscles. Remember this is a journey and not a sprint, your nutrition is as important as your exercise. You've done a great job and don't get impatient.

I'm now 36 days post OP and down 28 lbs. My Water intake is much better, I'm able to get 64 oz of water most days. I'm still struggling with my Protein. After a few bites I'm immediately full. I'm doing Protein Shakes to help meet my protein goals. I've been working out everyday and walking alot. Its amazing how much energy I have these days. I have not bought any new clothes yet but I really need to, everything hangs off me. I'm truly blessed to have had this surgery! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me! Hope everyone else is seeing progress as well [emoji847][emoji106][emoji123]

I was sleeved on 7/29/19!

I ended up back in the hospital with a ruptured abscess and blood infection. All cleared up now and doing better!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
