Ellf 205 Posted June 4, 2019 For lunch today, i decided to have a shredded chicken mini-quesadilla from taco bell with extra shredded chicken. It went down okay, and to my surprise, I was able to eat the entire thing. Except, after taking those last couple bites... and now lasting more than half an hour later, I'm in physical pain as my restriction kicked in. Holy crap, this hurts. I'm currently hoping that it's not stuck because I've had that happen before. I'm not making this mistake again. If I do eat that again, it will only be half. (It's sad because before the surgery, I'd eat one of these in addition to whatever else I ordered at Taco Bell.) 1 1 Frustr8 and BlueAngelEyes reacted to this
xring3 39 Posted June 4, 2019 Happens to me also. One bite too much and it’s sick time. I’ve learned now it’s best to throw it away and not tempt fate. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 2 ProudGrammy and Frustr8 reacted to this

mousecat88 2,281 Posted June 4, 2019 It's difficult pushing away or throwing out food. It's something I am just now getting used to doing. In the beginning if I ate even slightly too much I would get foamies or straight up vomit. But now as SOON as I feel anything, I quit eating and cut my losses on whatever I bought and just throw it away. Also it looks like you just had surgery? Can you have quesadillas?? I'm never supposed to have white flour ever again. And no other kind of wraps until 8 months - and super tiny pieces. Taco Bell was my #1 vice so I stay away entirely. 1 1 Frustr8 and rs reacted to this
Ellf 205 Posted June 4, 2019 Honestly, the real fun one was this weekend. I didn't eat too much; I managed to actually stop myself in time. I'd had the Yucatan Shrimp small plate from Red Lobster (went out with the wife). Thing is, I didn't account for how much sugar was in the pineapple in the sauce. I was fine until about 2-3 hours later when I started to severely cramp up. I also had a small sip of the Diet Coke my wife had. Found I didn't like it at all. Considering I used to chug the stuff, that was interesting to me. 9 minutes ago, mousecat88 said: It's difficult pushing away or throwing out food. It's something I am just now getting used to doing. I'm technically cleared for "everything" so long as I target my Protein first and get in my 65-85 grams of protein a day. What my dietician has me limiting is sugar. No more than ten grams per meal. 2 BlueAngelEyes and Frustr8 reacted to this

The surgery is AWESOME! It's doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing--providing negative feedback impetus for changing your relationship/behavior with food. Aversion therapy. Give yourself a hug and thank your tool for making you miserable and giving you a teaching moment!!! Isn't it amazing that only 1 mini quesadilla from TacoHell gave you a horrible ride on the pain train? Congrats! 🍾 3 4 Frustr8, apiane, mousecat88 and 4 others reacted to this

Now, due to the pain, it's more than one meal. The previous state was sad, not the current one. 1 2 FluffyChix, DianaP and Frustr8 reacted to this

Ellf 205 Posted June 4, 2019 That said, I do still like Taco Bell, and I'm glad there are things that I can enjoy there that give me good Protein for my meal plan. My big thing right now is targeting high protein foods in general. 1 sillykitty reacted to this
xring3 39 Posted June 4, 2019 When we go to a restaurant we immediately ask for a takeout box when we order our food. Sometimes I can stretch 3 meals out of it. The meal at the restaurant, evening meal and lunch the next day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1 Lolo 2020 reacted to this

Mickeygmg 25 Posted June 4, 2019 My surgery is tomorrow. I'm curious, do you have problems with bad gas or diarrhea? Especially eating taco bell?
