elcee 3,342 Posted June 3, 2019 You know the answer. Smoking is never good at any stage. If you really want to get healthy you need to give it up permanently.Dont let that 1 cigarette become the first of many 3 ProudGrammy, MrsGamgee and sillykitty reacted to this
Carrot64 214 Posted June 3, 2019 I spent years with horrendous acid reflux... smoking causes acid reflux, Barrett’s esophagus and ulcers... it’s two fold for WLS patients... please dont!!
GradyCat 3,696 Posted June 4, 2019 I've never smoked, but I heard the surgeon talking about how important it is to stop smoking in order to have WLS, so I assume it's a big deal. Please try to quit smoking and good luck with your WLS journey. 2 ProudGrammy and Carrot64 reacted to this

Myhorseisfattoo 387 Posted June 4, 2019 I know it's hard, but PLEASE don't smoke! You just went through hell to get healthy, don't sabotage your own efforts! 1 1 Ljd and sillykitty reacted to this
egs93 16 Posted June 8, 2019 I know it's difficult to give up if you've been addicted but every bad effect from smoking is even worse for WLS patients. Please, for the sake of your health that you went through your surgery to improve, do everything you can to stop smoking permanently. Do not let yourself believe that it's okay to continue or start smoking again.
mrblond 56 Posted June 8, 2019 We all know smoking is bad and you should not ever do it, but this is your life and YOU need to decide if the pleasure you get from smoking is worth the cost of your overall health. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
