I just can't think of anyone right now

Declutter the physical... Well my place is pretty clutter free but the laundry is being done today. Specifically my comforter which is white (Don't judge me ๐Ÿ˜ญ) so I'm bleaching it twice and drying it.

Sigh. It's a lot of work for an aesthetic ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

Reporting in ...

I'm doing really well on my "walk at least a miles everyday I'm home" goal. I'm 15 for 20! ๐Ÿ˜ That actually includes a lot of out of town days as well (thank you airports! ๐Ÿคฃ)

Declutter the physical

I'm hosting a party at my house this weekend. So that is forcing me to tidy up. I'm not sure if shoving stuff into closets and drawers fully counts though! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I am not big on self affirmation but Iโ€™ll give my unique self a whirl today. I am NOT doing burpees.

I have my first cardio class at my new gym today, the trainer has a very different philosophy than my previous one. He believes in 20-30 minute strenuous workouts vs. 1 hour long workouts. I like the idea, I just hope I can keep up, he really pushed me hard yesterday while doing my assessment. Now watch there will be burpees...

I was taken aback afterwards when he said, โ€œyouโ€™re in really good shapeโ€ I felt like turning around to see who he was talking to.

I have my final assessment at my original gym next Friday, I am looking forward to seeing what I accomplished. They took a ton of measurements and tests for comparison.

I will be a year out in August and I am not going to relax or let my foot off the gas. Iโ€™ve worked hard to get here, it has been worth it and I am not giving it up, I havenโ€™t felt this good in years.

I hope this thread keeps going, I see too many stories of regain and I enjoy having a touchstone, the camaraderie, and a place to check in to keep me aware and engaged. I have also learned a lot from you guys.

@GreenTealael Iโ€™m not ignoring your B side question, I just canโ€™t think of one!

Okay, so I did 10 of them.

Now Iโ€™m slightly nauseated because I havenโ€™t had Breakfast yet and my morning coffee was sloshing around in my stomach. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Will have to think hard on the side question. Right now Iโ€™m having difficulties coming up with something.

The cardio class at my new gym was very hard but I survived. The same trainer that told me I was in really good shape yesterday was leading it. Iโ€™m pretty sure he wants to rescind that statement. I swear he asked me 5 times, โ€œare you ok maโ€™am?โ€ during the class. I wanted to say no, Iโ€™m old so slow down pal! but instead I just did my best. This is the first high intensity cardio class Iโ€™ve taken, they are no joke!

Yes, I'm unique and yes, I'm my chief source of my motivation. There I said it. LOL. Oh boy, do I have the crankies though. I didn't go to the gym yesterday. I'm going now. Hopefully that'll help.

B-side - I think it might be harder for me to see because it's normal for me. Oh, I know. I get up in the morning and have to have my shower before I leave the house. Then...I go to the gym and get all sweaty and continue about my day. I don't want to go through the rigamarole of showering, dressing, and make-up at the gym. I'd rather do it at home.

Iโ€™m not into mantras either, however, I am my biggest source of motivation. I just know that and I donโ€™t need to convince myself.

Did 30 minutes of cardio today. Going out to dinner tonight to my favorite Mexican restaurant, their shredded chicken tacos are amazing and not bad for you at all. After dinner we will walk over to the park and have a leisurely stroll if itโ€™s not raining.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
