My sister says, “That’s not the movie that was playing in my head” when something she envisioned turns out sideways. 2 GreenTealael and MrsGamgee reacted to this

I expect things to happen a certain way, and then things don't happen that way at all. I need to lower my expectations. Yup. This is a biggie for me. Just found out that our travel arrangements for a desperately needed vacation have fallen through and it’s too late to book anything else and too late to change my request off. Looks like instead of the needed getaway (this year has been so intense with surgery and recovery) I’ll get to hang around the house and do housework. I’m trying to put the best spin on it that I can, but I’m struggling. I’ve never really been the type to make lemonade out of lemons. Good thing now I guess, since lemonade probably had a jillion calories. 🤣🤣 3 1 MrsGamgee, GreenTealael, Frustr8 and 1 other reacted to this

Cheeseburgh 3,080 Posted June 7, 2019 Reflect on what I’ve learned this week: I learned that I really dislike the mountain climber exercise! I have never done that one before and it was very difficult for me. Went for 2 long walks yesterday and that felt really good for a change of pace. Today did 30 minutes elliptical followed by some TRX. I’ll go for a walk later today or tonight. (Or both!) I’ve learned that I need to find a balance this summer between gym and home based workouts. I also think I’m going to look for a less expensive gym when my membership is done in August. I’ll test drive a few to see if I can find a good fit. Some of them are too had core and I’m not interested in a Planet Fitness type place. Hopefully I’ll find something, if not I’ll stay where I am. Anyone have fun weekend plans? 2 seaforest and GreenTealael reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,439 Posted June 7, 2019 6/7: Lessons I really learned this week 1. Count your blessings 2. Be everlastingly grateful 3. Enjoy the weather in every variation 4. Continue to make lists despite disliking them 😂 Weekend plans - festival called Shavout https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/609663/jewish/What-Is-Shavuot-Shavuos.htm#What I'm going to enjoy it with food because it's one of the rare occasions that beckons for it 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 2 Cheeseburgh and seaforest reacted to this

sillykitty 10,776 Posted June 7, 2019 Does not having learned any lessons this week make me shallow, or something? Mountain climber done (it was tough!), just need to get my walk in today. B-side - Luxury African safari where I see ALL the animals! 2 GreenTealael and Cheeseburgh reacted to this

I can't keep copy cat thin mints or savory rice cakes in the house. I have no self control with these two items. 2 Cheeseburgh and GreenTealael reacted to this

She was on resort half the time & the other half in the wild. When i had to explain to our boss (Governor's Lawyer) why she was unreachable i simply said She is in The Bush You should have seen the reactions 😂😂😂😂 2 Cheeseburgh and sillykitty reacted to this

My job isn't well suited to being out of touch for extended amounts of time. 😟 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

I’ve always wanted to go to Greece, the Amalfi coast in Italy, (I can hope for a George Clooney sighting) or Croatia then off to Monaco for a few fancy days. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

Cheeseburgh 3,080 Posted June 8, 2019 @Frustr8 Nothing personal, but can you be less graphic? This is a support thread, not a medical thread. Thank you 1 sillykitty reacted to this
