I'm really looking for some advise with the pre and post Vitamins I'm suppose to be taking. I'm not sure which brand of vitamins I should be looking at. The brand I was recommended is a little to expensive but I'm not sure if the Equate brand has enough of what I need. How do I know which is the right choice?

I take Centrum (or the CVS or Walgreens generic equivalent) as well. You have to take two of those a day. Anything that meets the ASMBS (American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery) requirements is fine. Here are their recommendations ( you have to scroll down a bit to get their Vitamin recommendations):

I started out taking ProCare Now bariatric Vitamins. They are one a day and I felt very affordable at $11 or less (if bought in bulk). I recently switched to Bariatric Pal One and bought them in bulk at $9 a month. Both vitamins meet ASMBS requirements and are taken only ONCE daily which is a huge perk for me.

YEAH I like the once a day facet of my Prenatal Vitamins even if I get the Fish Eye when I put a bottle off the shelf at Wally World! So what if I look too old? May just have been a rough day and my 50 year old Daughter has gray hair all through hers and I have Not One! Teach her to take after her Daddy's side of the Family!

All my Vitamins are Jamieson so far. B1, B12 spray, d3, and prenatal chewable with Iron. I add calcium citrate in a couple of weeks.

Thanks so much for all the help! For pre-op and post-op Vitamins be chewable, gummies or swallow?

we were told not to take gummies. Other two are OK.

I was told no gummies as well. I was also told chewable only as they are easiest to absorb.

I take the bypass and sleeve optimized once per day by Unjury. They cost $10 per month. I also use unjurys calcium citrate.

I have glanced around the store here and they do seem to have decent prices as well.

I like the fact that unjury contains no ingredients from China.

Your team should give you direction and probably a list of what they prefer you to use.

Lots of good choices out there

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
