GradyCat 3,695 Posted May 30, 2019 No, I haven't had that problem. I haven't had dry mouth or any decrease in saliva.

MrsGamgee 756 Posted May 30, 2019 Not here either, but I'm only 2 weeks out. Have you had to change any of your meds? Dry mouth is a common side effect of many RXs.Sent from my SM-G960W using BariatricPal mobile app

AZhiker 2,253 Posted May 30, 2019 YES!!! At nearly 4 months out, I am finally feeling like my mouth is less dry, but I still need my water bottle with me all the time to take frequent sips. During the first 2 months post op I could not believe how dry my mouth was. Even with sips every few minutes it still felt dry. 1 katprincess reacted to this

I thought I was the only one with this problem.😁😁 My doctor said it will take some time, so I was wondering how long 😁😁
Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 3, 2019 You know I just might be yours and AZhikers cousin. Carry a bottle with me. But first drink and whenever I forget to keep up my Fluid, I cough up dry strings or chunks of dry mucus Maybe I also have low-grade sinusitis, or is owning up to it a TMI? egs93 16 Posted June 8, 2019 I'm a month out and dry mouth is SUCH a problem for me still. My mother also had the sleeve a year ago and said she dealt with it for 2-3 months following her surgery. It's especially bad right after I wake up in the mornings and in the half hour before/after eating when I know I can't have my Water no matter how dry my mouth feels. I'm hoping it goes away eventually as well. Good luck!
Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 8, 2019 Rinse with Biotene, carry Fluid with you, sip small amounts often. Could also be caused by the meds you are taking, some of them dry you up worse than the Kalahari or Death Valley!
