Goal after I reach my goal.

Recommended Posts

With 39lbs left to go before plastics in November, I am starting to look towards my next goal.

Last weekend, my coworker expressed that she was embarrassed at the gym because she didn't know how to use any of the equipment. I went in an hour before my class with her and showed her a lot of things. I timed her wall squats, showed her proper form, and every time she would say she sucked or was weak, I was the opposite of my usual self and was very motivating and encouraging. She even offered to pay me for the session!

I've been thinking a lot about this and how great I felt helping someone else. I think I want to pursue a certificate in personal training in 2020 and do that part-time. It was so fulfilling! And I found myself echoing the things my trainer tells me. He's rubbed off on me!

That's GREAT! You may have found a new job or hobby that you're passionate about. Way to go.

I have a pair of very old gap jeans and a boho top from back in the day.. last time I rocked those babies I was listening to Joni Mitchell on a Saturday, no kids around ... cup of tea and some incense..I’m a few pounds away from wearing them and recreating that moment but, it’s coming soon !! It sounds like a minuscule goal but the last time I felt really peaceful and healthy was that day and I’m starting to feel the old me coming back and I miss her!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
