I got sleeved 18 months ago and since then I lost about 100 pounds but in the last few months weight loss has stopped and then I began to gain weight I gained about 30 pounds so fast although I keep track of everything and I didn't change anything in my diet I keep sticked to it. I'm so frustrated. then what is the reason of the weight gain then ?

Since you are tracking everything you should be able to pinpoint when the weight gain began and what you were eating/doing when it happened.

Sometimes things change once we transition from losing to maintenance and also when other life events happen

I personally would use the information that I had been compiling to reverse engineer the problem.

Hope you can find a solution soon 💙

From what I understand, weight gain will happen. Its important though to see what the cause is and correct it.

a 10-20 lb gain after hitting bottom is REALLY common. Not inevitable, but it seems to happen to most of us. Could be we get complacent - we aren't as strict with ourselves as we once were - we're not weighing/measuring/tracking our food as carefully and constantly monitoring our weight. I know I sometimes eat things that I NEVER would have eaten during the weight loss phase. At any rate, the only way to lose it is to cut back on calories, unfortunately...

What calorie level are you at? What are you noticing when tracking your food? Are you writing down every single bite that goes into your mouth? Are you still getting in your 64 oz of Water each day? Are you still focusing on Protein? Do you get any exercise?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
