ADerryberry 0 Posted May 28, 2019 Hello everyone! This is my first post here. I am 7 weeks post op VSG. I stalled at two and a half weeks. Then at week 5 I began excercising and lost 7 pounds that week. Now last week I have lost nothing actually went up a pound. Is back to back stalls normal? I’m not sure what is going on. I take in 600-800 calories a day. I get at least 60 grams of Protein and 64 oz of Water. I am following my surgeons plan exactly. It gets discouraging. I thought this time would be the best time for my weight loss to go so well. I am down 33 pounds. I am very happy about that but I want to make the most of this time. Any advice would be appreciated! delfie 81 Posted May 28, 2019 Yes I am almost 4 weeks post op. Last week and this week I was even up half a pound, and then again today, but then it seems to drop again the over next few days. My dr did say to stay off the scale daily (not that I listened). From everything I've read, it is all to be expected and so I am not worrying about it, just staying the course and following the plan. The weight will come off. 1 ADerryberry reacted to this
Emilia DD 39 Posted May 28, 2019 The hormones and what we put in our body, activity and stress levels are different during each month so are the scale results. Nothing wrong with stalling as long as you do your part the weight will come off but in waives. 1 ADerryberry reacted to this
jaytissle55 180 Posted May 29, 2019 Stall are going to happen, just focus on your Protein, Water and getting some exercise and it will pass. Hang in there and push forward.... 2 Emilia DD and ADerryberry reacted to this
Avery's Mom 315 Posted May 29, 2019 (edited) DO NOT WEIGH EVERY DAY. IT WILL MAKE YOU CRAZY. Only weigh in once a week. stalls are normal. I stalled for three weeks then lost 7 lbs, then stalled again then lost 5 Edited May 29, 2019 by Avery's Mom 1 ADerryberry reacted to this
