🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 296 Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) So I’m sitting here 13 days PO and I keep having these recurring thoughts of “what if my bypass just doesn’t work...?” Irrational, I know. I’m not talking about losing the weight and regaining. I mean straight up NOT losing anything ever. That doesn’t happen, right? I have no complications, no pain, I can drink and take my supplements with no issue. That scares me too. Like, I thought this was supposed to be hard. If I didn’t see the scars on my belly I would second guess that I ever had surgery. 😕 Edited May 28, 2019 by 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 5 FluffySaysForkIt!, irol888 , traeleo and 2 others reacted to this
vovo2013 35 Posted May 28, 2019 Oh it will go away, just think about positive thoughts. At least you got the surgery and not alot of people can get this surgery at all.Sent from my SM-G973U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 28, 2019 The first time you'll eat one more bite than your pouch can comfortably hold, the message will come home to you. And you'll find out that you do have restriction. 1 Carrot64 reacted to this
gabybab 696 Posted May 28, 2019 I had these thoughts as well. I was stranded for 3 weeks at the same weight. Thank goodness I have lost 15 pounds since then. I certainly understand the thinking. We just have to be positive. Good luck! I bet you will do great!💯💕 2 Carrot64 and 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺 reacted to this

I talked to my surgeon and she assured me I would do well and I suggest CALL your dr. If you need reassurance and keep talking to us and reading.. you are not alone AT ALL and what you are feeling .. we all felt Edited May 28, 2019 by Carrot64 3 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺, FluffySaysForkIt! and med28thmed reacted to this
traeleo 41 Posted May 28, 2019 Ive had no real complications either. I am 4 days post op and it feels like I’ve gotten nothing done. Did it take? I’m going to ask my surgeon for an X-ray so I can actually see things. I guess it might just mean we have great surgeons 😉 1 Carrot64 reacted to this
Greenstar 31 Posted May 28, 2019 you will start feeling restrictions as soon as you eat something that doesnt agree or you over eat. i just accepted the fact i will probably never have chicken again. just keep getting your Protein and Water, you will be fine 1 Carrot64 reacted to this
irol888 39 Posted May 29, 2019 I thought the same exact thing 6 months ago, post op RNY. This is where we change all our previous thought patterns. Trust the process! It's going to work! I remember asking my nutritionist, "What if it doesn't work for me?" She put her hand on my arm and just told me to keep up the good work, eat right/exercise and finally trust. I never trusted anything as much as I do this process. It will work!! 2 Carrot64 and MrsGamgee reacted to this
