Sam.is.sassy 26 Posted May 27, 2019 Hi there I can't seem to get an answer about converting from the Sleeve to the RYN. I am needing it done do to GERD I also have a hiatal hernia. I am curious to know what the weight loss is like with a revision. I have already lost about 160 lbs but would like to lose 60 more. I need to lose 80 to be a healthy BMI 2 Jerseygirl4523 and Frustr8 reacted to this
Briswife15 890 Posted May 27, 2019 I hear the weight loss is slower, but I have not had a revision. There are tons of posts on here asking about revision. Have a look around and you'll probably find your answers. Good luck. othella2 76 Posted May 27, 2019 So what I don't understand is do people get a revision because the first one didn't work or because a few years passed?Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app 2 GreenTealael and Frustr8 reacted to this

othella2 76 Posted May 27, 2019 Would hernia repair be an option rather than another wls Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Sam.is.sassy 26 Posted May 27, 2019 Chances are that the Gerd would not resolve and being a single parent I don't have the luxury for being down for too long Also there has been a study that shows without the revision the hernia will return in 2-3 years 1 1 GreenTealael and Frustr8 reacted to this

You have to take omeorezole daily but I had to add Retanidine to my daily. My friend did sleeve to RNY still has GERD unfortunately she is 7months po. Good luck for you. SeattleLady 277 Posted May 30, 2019 Okay, what happened to the 95% who have relief from GERD? Did anyone else feel better after revision? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app
traeleo 41 Posted May 31, 2019 I’m 7 days post op. My revision from sleeve to bypass was March 23rd. I had really bad GERD even with liquids. I’m on Clear Liquids right now and I’ve had tea which usually causes an issue, but so far so good. I don’t feel that burning in my throat are feel like gagging anymore. So I’m glad I did it. RNY all the way!😉 2 1 1 allies journey, GivingItMyAll, CarmelComplexion and 1 other reacted to this

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app I really don’t know what my PH level was. I go see the doc Monday so I’ll find out then. I really hope this continues so I don’t have to take Protonix anymore. 1 SeattleLady reacted to this
