Shanda_2019 77 Posted May 25, 2019 I refused to take anything stronger than Tylenol with codine to ease the pain and now I’m regretting it. I cant sleep , sit, lay down or anything without pain on my right side. Going to the bathroom is a job just getting up and down. Did anyone have this type of pain and discomfort your first week ? I’m 3 days post op and getting in fluids is almost impossible. HELP why did I do this again.....
Colorado Cowgirl 170 Posted May 25, 2019 Call your doctor and get a more effective painkiller. I didn't feel any pain for the 3 days post up bc I took oxycodone as directed. Don't suffer if you don't have to. 1 Shanda_2019 reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted May 25, 2019 I'm so sorry you're having pain. I was one of the lucky ones that didn't have any pain at all. Be sure you get your fluids in, you don't want to dehydrate and have to be hospitalized. Take care. 3 Frustr8, Shanda_2019 and Sunnilicious reacted to this
gabybab 696 Posted May 25, 2019 Yes, I agree to get something, it's only temporary. I took painkillers for 10 days and started titrating down on day 7. Good luck! 2 Shanda_2019 and Frustr8 reacted to this

Kara Duke 8 Posted June 28, 2019 Might want to call your doctor. Try ice for the pain, it really helped me.
Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 28, 2019 And if ice doesn't work, try moist heat, some people have to alternate them, 15 minutes on, and about an hour in between.
