Blackangel21 9 Posted May 23, 2019 in my pre-op stages to get the sleeve I'm realizing how much I was an emotional eater because I'm trying to watch what I'm eating and do what the doctor is telling me to do. Did anybody suffer from your stomach feeling full but your brain doesn't? I drunk a smoothie they had strawberry papaya, squash and zucchini my stomach feels full but in my mind I want to eat? When you have the surgery does that go away or is it just self-discipline? GradyCat 3,695 Posted May 23, 2019 Surgery doesn't take away the head hunger. That's something you have to work on. 3 Healthy_life2, FluffyChix and Ohcinders reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted May 23, 2019 What she (the above poster) said. Plus, smoothies go through you pretty fast. I feel fuller for longer when I eat dense Protein. 3 Ohcinders, FluffyChix and Healthy_life2 reacted to this
FluffyChix 17,415 Posted May 23, 2019 Nope. The surgery is a tool and is on your tummy. The head hunger is a real issue and struggle for many of us. It's important to do the head work. There is a thread in the General Forum about just this subject. It's not magic bean surgery. To me, the head hunger is more of a challenge to contend with and change lifelong behaviors than is the actual true hunger. 3 GradyCat, Healthy_life2 and Ohcinders reacted to this
