Maybe I missed something somewhere but if you're at permanent goal, why are you having the revision?

medically necessary, not weight loss

Here in Tijuana, surgery in about 3 hours...and unlike@amaynard, I don't get to drink until tomorrow! Just found that out yesterday. I'll be on a drip for hydration, but no drinking.

I also went to a dentist here because the last two I saw at home tried to hard-sell me $5500 worth of work I didn't need. Going back on Friday for the work... at least it'll be easy to not eat afterwards, lol.

Ugh! I can't wait for my surgery now! I just got a candid picture of me that was taken yesterday and omgosh! I am a delusional fatty that still think's I'm skinny! lolololol I swear when I look in the mirror I don't see the weight at all, but when I see myself in pictures I'm like omgoodnesssss! Is that really me?!?! It makes me feel ashamed of myself and want to hide inside.

I felt the same way! I actually did isolate myself from the world ( and still kinda as) for a moment. Im slowly breaking out since I know the surgery is on the horizon, I feel more hopeful for the future and a tad bit less ashamed. Pictures are a no go for me though. Not until this surgery is done. Keep your head up & stay positive grlie! You got this!!!

As hard as it might be, you have to take pictures. There will be days/weeks when you don’t lose, or you wonder if your surgery was worth it, or you’re just mad that you can’t eat cake 🤣 Having these pictures help soooooo much

I had my surgery yesterday 7/1 and I’m doing a lot better today. Yesterday I had horrendous gas pains in my upper shoulders and hurt to breathe a little. I had to get a hiatal hernia repaired that they found during surgery so I’m also sore from that. But all together I think I’m progressing pretty good. I had RNY.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
