texasnewf 104 Posted May 21, 2019 Has anyone had a venus insufficiency in their leg ? I just had an ultrasound at a vein specialist and that's what the technician said. I go to see the doctor this Friday about what the treatment will be.. I'm just curious, worried.. I just got all the clearance for my VSG surgery and now I found out this. My left toes have been numb for the last several months so I finally decided to get it checked. Just wondering what to do ?ThanksSent from my SM-G973U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted May 21, 2019 I have that and lymphadema, especially the left. Had to wear knee high brown stockings, but happy happy news, as I lose my weight less swelling and pain, I even can see my ankle bones again, and in that way WL Surgery, has given me JOY! 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
Losingit2018 1,170 Posted May 21, 2019 I have not but, my husband has venous stasis in his right leg from an illness that caused some damage to the bottom of his heart. He has had it for years now. His leg swells off and on along with his foot but it has not been life threatening. What he has may be totally different. It is something that is common in the elderly. The veins in his leg have lost some elasticity. He is supposed to wear compression hose but rarely does. Try not to worry yourself too much although I know that is easier said than done Good luck and keep us posted. 2 Frustr8 and GreenTealael reacted to this
