Jezzabelle360 84 Posted June 6, 2019 I used to live to mix the banana and caramel together and after surgery I suddenly couldn't stomach them. I'm not lactose intolerant. My pouch just didn't like it. I'm now drinking clear Premier Protein shakes. I don't love them but I don't hate them and I can tolerate them. Also you can freeze them into popsicles [emoji4]Sent from my LG-Q710AL using BariatricPal mobile app 1 ARMoma45 reacted to this

Space it out. 11 ounces in 30 min is a lot in my opinion. Sent from my VS996 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 johnedwin reacted to this
djgirl19 276 Posted June 20, 2019 Drink what you can. Some people have issues drinking. I had no pain immediately after surgery. I was also very well medicated so that might be why. I couldn’t stand the Protein Shakes. The first couple were good just because I was so hungry but a week in I was going nuts and when I finally got to soft food I’m drinking as few as possible because I can’t stand them either. Think of it as “taking your medicine”. Lol. I agree on the clear. They’re much less thick and sickening. Water down and put on ice👍🏼 1 shublu reacted to this

walstreet68 4 Posted June 21, 2019 Thank you for the kind words. I thought people were going to crucify me for being so close to surgery. I am doing this and I am not going to cheat again. Surgery is 10 days away. Wow 1 shublu reacted to this

Surgery is 10 days away. WowThink of it this way, the liquid diet is shrinking your liver, making more room for them to do the surgery, its helping your body prepare for your journey. Dont self sabatoge. You CAN do this. Good luck!Sent from my VS996 using BariatricPal mobile app

Butterfly#7 65 Posted June 24, 2019 Make your own Protein Shake, because like you all of the ready made ones make me sick also. So I use the unflavored Isopure Protein Powder and make my own shake with fruit and yogurt-like a smoothie.
