Fazzini Bee 76 Posted May 19, 2019 Hello! My surgery is tomorrow. I am having random bursts of intense anxiety. And keep thinking about how I'm going to feel when I wake up. I keep looking at my daughter and feeling guilty and afraid for her, you know in case something bad happens. I am getting through it okay. But just nervous. Briswife15 890 Posted May 19, 2019 Good luck, you got this. It'll be fine. When you wake up you'll be sore, so ask for pain meds. Try not to be anxious [emoji4]Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Sunnilicious reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted May 19, 2019 It's only natural to be a little nervous. I remember waking up excited in the recovery room because that meant I had survived. LOL!

Shoelace 63 Posted May 19, 2019 Everyone is nervous before any surgery I think but look at all the prep you've put into this..most people go into surgery with nothing other than fasting the night before!! Afterwards you'll be looking back thinking, what was all the hype about!! You've got this!
lyladyp 120 Posted May 19, 2019 I think everyone goes through the a similar level of anxiety. I am almost a week out now, but I kept telling my husband if anything happens to please take good care of my children😀 Once I was in recovery, I kept asking if I looked okay as if something on the outside had been taken. You will be in and out before you know it! I wish you the best.

delfie 81 Posted May 19, 2019 I am a mom of two young daughters, I understand your anxiety. Of course, there is always a risk with surgery so this is normal. That said, even with all of the disclaimers, I think this is pretty safe surgery to have, comparatively speaking. Good luck with your surgery.
