All of mine are similar if not the same as everyone. But another one of mine was

Weighting less than my husband (goal achieved 😁😁)

I’m witcha... 5 lbs and I’m the same weight as the hubby and I can’t believe I was 70 lbs more than him for quite a while..

My weirdest one... not having to analyze a parking spot to see if I will be able to open the car door wide enough to get in and out.

Others...

Go on rides with my wee-lings at the fair.

Weigh less than my hubs (which I achieved last week!)

Not worry if a lawn chair will hold me.

New, pretty clothes!

Feel confident going into a job interview.

Not constantly be calculating if I will fit into somewhere... not as in 'will they like me?', but rather 'will my fat behind fit down that aisle'.

Be at a restaurant and not worry about others judging my food choices.

My weird and probably funny one. To sit down in narrow or plastic chairs, to stand up without help and not to make that embarrassing Sucky noise when I get up. To not have someone ask if they can show their sl7des on my rump because it is so wide. Not wide,no more, and it won't ever be again . A lover would be able,to hold me close with just his 2,hands, not have to get a forklift or find a 10 bushel basket to hold my rump up. Oh I am getting sassy along with sweet disposition, it's sad guys are starting notice me now, the same ones that wouldn't give me the time of day 100 plus pounds ago. And the ones who ignored ME in the past, not too sure I need them now. I may forgive them but my ❤will never never forget!

I've given up shaving... It's so freakin hard! So I feel you.

It really is! I'm so embarrassed by the number of cuts I get when I do muster up the courage to shave my legs.

What was once something I could easily do in less than a few minutes has now turned into the biggest process. LOL.

Shaving ones legs is one I never thought about. I haven't given up yet, but the times I do shave have gotten far and few between.

And the size of the public restroom stalls! that's a good one as well. I do think they have started making them smaller, like airline seats.

Oh gosh, don't get me started on restroom stalls.

Even healthy weight people can't move in most of them. They really have started making them smaller!

And the ones at Wal-Mart, the non- handicapped ones, if you go,in straight, the only way you can turn around is to straddle the toilet. You must have to border on Anorexia. to,perfectly fit, and a couple,of the older hospitals in Columbus are, like that too, you would think they would Build Better!

And another scale Victory- I now weigh over 50 pounds less than my son and heir to my miniscule fortune, he is so ego- struck and peeved He now says it's TIME for him to seek Bariatric Surgery for himself, does not like the fact I have an BMI of 31, although he is a couple of inches taller his is 38 and he may have still enough Co- Morbidities- even at his younger age- for Insurance to cover it! Told him I will support you, if that is your decision- but it is between my surgeon, because that is who he would wish to have- and Himself. This is the one thing Mama can't do for YOU!

I'm wondering if all of you have some weird things that you are looking forward to after surgery?
I have a few:
  • Being able to eat cheese again (without feelnbg guilty) and feeling full from it
  • Being able to look forward to only tasting a (tiny) bit of everything instead of eating lots of the first thing I like.
  • Drinking milk again
Well, they may not be all that weird, but they do seem odd in a positive way. What about you guys?
Going on an Air Ballon. I'm afraid of heights, but I still want to go on a ride. [emoji1]

Hi all,
I am super new to this forum, actually this is my first ever post! One weird one I have is to sit on the ground with my knees tucked up to my chest and still be able to breath ha ha. Also, to be able to sit in an airplane seat without feeling like I am the biggest burden to the ppl next to me.

I'm a social butterfly with a fun personality and a love for sports and outdoors ... and good cooking (obviously). I've always been the big girl that broke the rules. I was always fiercley confident (or atleast I led the world around me to believe that) and that air of confidence has carried me pretty far. I've dated and married the men who'd never been with big girls before me. I have a job not typically held by big girls or big anyone. I keep up with the latest trends and fashions reguarldless of being a big girl. I am a fat runner. And perhaps the sharpets jab of all ... I'm often described as "so beautiful ... for a big girl".

What I am looking forward to MOST after surgery is dropping that adjective. I want my accomplishments not to be mentioned as if they are in spite of being the fat girl as if fat people arent allowed to break all these "rules"

For the first time in a long time I wan't to NOT be the biggest female or biggest person in the room

I don't want the say give me the biggest you have when signing up for a race and they hand me an XL that obviously will not fit

I want to run at the gym invisibly next to all the other runners with out heads turning and people making comments in awe that i can actually run

I don't want people questioning my ability to perform my job due to my size

I don't want to be "beautiful for a big girl" I just want to be plain ole beautiful

I want to be able to follow the trends without the nightmare that is finding trendy plus size items . Ive become great at it but honestly its a pain in the ass

I don't want my son to feel shame for having the fat mom that people assume sits on the couch and isnt the very active person that I am

I want to talk about the gym or running without people scoffing as if theres no way I could possibly be serious

I want to do all of the things i love that my weight now limits like sky diving, scuba diving, zip lining, bunjee jumping, wakeboarding ETC.

I just want to live my life without that label I just want to be the regular ordinary old me without the need for my size to be attatched to everything i do.

Sitting in a booth in a restaurant again

Riding rollercoasters again and not being told I'm too big to ride them

Not having people scoot way out of the way when I'm walking toward them (seriously, I'm not 6 feet wide).

Not constantly wearing cardigans everywhere and at all times during the summer

Not being told by sales associates "we don't carry your size, so don't bother trying anything on" (was told to me at an Anne Taylor)

The biggest real one for me is not passing down bad habits to my daughter.

The second biggest one is staving off hypertension and diabetes which runs in my family.

Seriously PEOPLE SUCK ! Sales associates can be so mean!

1. Fitting into my “victory outfit”.
This is a size 8 little black cocktail dress that I bought on clearance in 1993 right after I had lost some weight after having my son. It looked sooooo good on me in the dressing room, and I was so proud of myself for ditching the baby weight. . I bought it for a wedding and then I got very ill and didn’t go.
The dress still has the tags on it.

Girl you CAN and WILL get into that dress and you are going to rock it like its 1993!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
