kymbrlym 1 Posted May 9, 2019 New here. Lots of amazing stories. My surgery date is 5/20/19. I’m trying to stick to the pre op diet. It says I can have strained broth and Soup. I’m not sure what that means. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Can I have tomatoe soup? I appreciate any help. Thank you 1 kathaleen revell reacted to this
RickM 1,752 Posted May 10, 2019 I would "guess" so, as they apparently want things that are free of chunks. You really need to get clarification from you doctor's staff, as there is no real rhyme or reason to most of these pre-op diets; instructions are all over the map and many don't even need to do anything. jaytissle55 180 Posted May 10, 2019 You don't have to strain broth, if you are eating cream of chicken Soups they should be strained so that you don't eat any chunks of meat.. I don't strain my cream of chicken I just take out the couple little pieces of meat. Good luck to you. 1 DWentz reacted to this
