Mom of 6 0 Posted November 18, 2007 I never thought I would become apart of a forum, but here I am. I was banded on 11/7/07. The only problem I have had with recovery is having to sleep in a recliner and my tail bone is really sore. I have no regrets and I have loss a total of 20lbs. My beginning weight was 375. My goal weight is 150lbs. I have decided to set short term goals along the way. I feel very blessed to be given this wonderful tool. I have some anxiety concerning my first fill, but as with everything else I am expecting smooth sailing. I must stay positive. Being a mom of 6 I have a lot of cheerleaders. I look forward to being a part of this forum, and any advice is welcome. Surgeon: Curtis Mosier Where: Denton, TX I'm on my way a day at a time. Sades 4 Posted November 18, 2007 Welcome to the forum. Is there a reason for sleeping in the recliner?
coltonwade 27 Posted November 18, 2007 Welcome , this place is great. Im curious as well to why the recliner and why is your tail bone sore ? Your doing great so far. I too have to set small mini goals for myself. I stay motivated that way . I have 3 more pounds to loose to meet my mini goal to get into ONEderland (into the 100's ) by thanksgiving. I gotta hurry LOL I was also nervous about my first fill but its a breeze. my doc doesnt even numb me. Its no biggie. But I cant say dont worry , you will be nervous about it then you will be sitting here like me telling another newbie not to worry ! Good luck your doing great so far. Mom of 6 0 Posted November 24, 2007 I experience a lot of pain on my left side when I lay down in my bed, even lying on my back I experience pain. Therefore, the recliner and the fact that I am constantly sleeping in one position. Now for an update. Thanksgiving night I finnally slept in my bed, but I had to remain on my right side all night. So I guess because of my size I have a lot of healing to do. But, regardless I think this was the best decision I have ever made for myself. Thanks for the concern.
