alida 0 Posted November 18, 2007 Are you in pain? I'm worried about the after effects, and how to pay the $5,000.00 out-of-pocket cost. If they don't cover it for health reasons??? Either way I need and want it ..just scared to pass while in surgery..are you completly out when they do the proceedure?
miztrniceguy 1 Posted November 18, 2007 yes you are completely out...i do have a little discomfort, not so much pain. They fill your stomach area with gas to make things open up a bit for them to see what they are doing. it takes a while for that to dissipate. i return to work monday. i say go for it! steph_co 9 Posted November 18, 2007 I got into the operating room at 9:47am, they called DH at 10:30am to tell him I was out, he finally got in to see me about 11:30am and we left at 2pm. It hasn't been bad - I was banded 2 days ago and I walked over 1 mile today (just keep on top of those pain meds!).
Cota129 0 Posted November 18, 2007 I had surgery 11/7/07. I was in surgery at 7:30 and home by 11. The first couple of day were kind of rough, primarily getting in and out of bed and changing position when sleeping. I never felt the pain was bad enough to use pain meds. I used Motrin. I was back to work 6 days later and feel great!
