MrsGamgee 756 Posted April 30, 2019 My surgery is a little over two weeks away. I've been on a hybrid liquid diet since April 1. Phase 2 of my liquid diet starts Thursday (5-6 glucerna shakes and 200 cals of veggies per day). Hopefully it will knock out the last three pounds I need to lose before surgery. I need to get active again... I want at least 12000 steps a day between now and surgery. I've also been prepping for my family, cooking freezer meals for the first couple of weeks post op when I know I won't want to be in the kitchen at all. This Friday I'm going to hit up a couple of health food stores for some samples of Protein powders to try before I commit to stocking up on something in particular. Good luck to us all... 3 FluffyChix, Aprilgal and allies journey reacted to this

Stella84 31 Posted May 4, 2019 (edited) hello! I converted from lapband to bypass on May 1 (single stage). Spent two nights in hospital. First day was rough due to nausea. But have had very little pain except when I stand up or sit down the larger insision where the port was removed hurts momentarily. I didn’t use any of the narcotic in the pain pump and haven’t even had a Tylenol! I am able to drink my liquids and walk. Although I do get tired pretty quickly! But I hope all your surgeries go as smoothly! S Edited May 4, 2019 by Stella84 4 MrsGamgee, nanaT, allies journey and 1 other reacted to this
allies journey 144 Posted May 4, 2019 Stella thanks for sharing your experience with the bypass surgery. I'm waiting for approval from my insurance companies for the RNY revision after 2 1/2 years post OP for sleeve. I am absolutely miserable and hope that once approved by my insurance companies that I can have surgery soon. Hopefully mine will be as easy as my sleeve surgery was.Good luck Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 FluffyChix reacted to this

Fishprincess 5 Posted May 9, 2019 Finally on the other side! Surgery was yesterday and I’m feeling great! The gas was horrible but then I vomited so that took care of most of it. When I went for my x Ray the dye was taking too long to pass through my new stomach. They said it’s because I was so swollen but I’m scared that something is wrong and they’re gonna have to go back in. We’ll see tomorrow morning! Bring on the new life!!! 1 1 Stella84 and nanaT reacted to this
