PudgeBeGone 99 Posted April 30, 2019 So I went to my primary dr and they said I can stop my blood pressure meds(last dose was Sunday morning) because it’s normal again 120/84 today, they also said I can “officially”stop all of my diabetes medicine(last dose was two days before surgery March 27th)But my heart rate has been really high still like when I’m sitting around or laying down it’s usually 70-88bpm but when I get up it goes as high as 160. So I fell asleep on my couch last night and woke up this morning sat up, heart rate was still fine. I stood up it went to 125, so I stood still and took some breaths to try and bring it down but it went to 136. So I went to the bathroom (which is maybe ten feet away from my couch) and it went to 153. As soon as I sat down it went to 149 and took about 15 minutes to go down to 110. My primary dr doesn’t know what’s going on. My surgeon doesn’t know what’s going on either. So I am going to see a cardiologist Monday. But didn’t know if anyone else has had this problem or had idea as to why this is happening.
PudgeBeGone 99 Posted April 30, 2019 My heart rate isn’t irregular it’s pretty consistent it’s just the rate that seems to go up when I move(like walk, stand, and so on) I mean I get palpitations because it’s so high sometimes but that’s about it.
Cheeseburgh 3,080 Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) I am not a health care professional. I recently read about this symptom and maybe you should ask your Doctor about it. It is something people develop, good news it is usually easy to fix. It also might be your body adjusting to no meds. I’m glad you are seeing a Cardiologist since the heart is nothing to mess around with.
