โ™ฅ๏ธ Wow, another month, another HUGE thanks to @GreenTealael for hosting yet another fun challenge โ™ฅ๏ธ

May Day #31

  • 25 Pushups: Done, baby.

May Goals Update: May 1st weight: 136.5 lbs / BMI 25.1

  • Weighed in at 126.3 lbs this morning (BMI 23.2), for a loss of 10.2 lbs this calendar month
  • Aimed to get into the 120's this month, mission accomplished. This month, I got into the "normal" BMI range, reached the 100# loss milestone, and now weigh less than the weight I was when Mr. and i first met 22 years ago.
  • Aimed to add another 30 mins to daily exercise. Was able to do this about 80% of the time this month, by adding another 30 mins to the daily walks. Strength training was a big fat zero this month, unless you count the handful of office yoga classes I've been attending that focus on core strength...
  • Aimed to not miss a day of the push up challenge. Did miss one, but I tried to make up for it the next day (though only did half)...good enough!

Finally, I decided to forgo my original goal weight of 120 lbs and transition into maintenance now, as I'm good where I am. โœŒ๏ธ

Looking forward to hear/read all the success stories/updates from the rest of you :)

Me Also, never used line competition when I was Heavy and Hopeless, now I am among my peers and portions of it are actually fun!
So what if my goals don't exactly match anyone else, they are MY Goals, a challenge I just might win! And I surely will do my best for success!

Oh, well, I never got around to yesterdays's pushups although I did do chest press at the gym but I did meet my goal for the month regarding weight loss so that's good. See you at the next challenge.

      Hi๏ปฟย everyone! Iโ€™m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and Iโ€™m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. Iโ€™ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTokโ€™s, ect.. trying to prepare my๏ปฟย mind and what to expect so Iโ€™ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and e๏ปฟxcited. However, now that Iโ€™ve done everything & itโ€™s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc Iโ€™ve tried everything and I just donโ€™t feel like I can lose weight by myself. Iโ€™m tired of being overweight my entire life. Iโ€™m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I donโ€™t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. Iโ€™m scared of complications like Iโ€™m๏ปฟgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didnโ€™t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just canโ€™t and donโ€™t possess the discipline. Iโ€™m also afraid I wonโ€™t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I donโ€™t know how to eat healthy really and donโ€™t enjoy healthyย food. I donโ€™t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!๏ปฟSomeone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.๏ปฟ
