Good morning! I hope your month is going well also.

My goal is kinda weight related, so not sure if this officially counts, but itโ€™s my goal so Iโ€™ll post it.

Since surgery back in February I feel like all Iโ€™ve done is work, go to Pilates, work, plan my food, work, stress about when the next time Iโ€™ll poop is, work, log food, work, make sure my Protein and Water is on point,work, go to support group, work...

My current lifestyle is so dramatically different from my previous one. What I feel has suffered the most is my friendships because every activity done with friends also centered around food.
My goal for May/June is to get back out and reconnect with friends and just go do something that wonโ€™t derail me.
There are a couple local arts festivals coming up and while those used to center around what kind of food/drink I could eat, this time around I just really want to hang with friends and be part of the crowd again. Also Iโ€™d love to go to the local AAA ballpark and enjoy a game sans the requisite beer and hot dog.
It will be tough because Iโ€™ve put myself in this little insulated world for the last 100 days, but itโ€™s time to get out and start becoming part of life outside my bariatric bubble.

Listened to the Podcast Mobituaries. I really enjoy Mo Rocca.

Went to the gym burned a bunch of calories came home and had a great dinner. (Pork tenderloin and salad) Iโ€™m going to bed early tonight and be ready to hit it again tomorrow.

Boy Iโ€™ve been having a rough time keeping up this month!
13) play with an animal. We have two dogs and watch my sons dog when they both have to work 12 hour shifts so got this one covered.
14) cook from scratch. Every day ๐Ÿ˜
15) Read a book. Iโ€™m reading โ€œnever binge againโ€ on kindle. Itโ€™s a free download. Warning though - he refers to his binge as โ€œthe pigโ€. It doesnโ€™t offend me because heโ€™s experienced it and heโ€™s using his own experience.
16) Listen to a podcast . Done. I listened to James Miller Lifeology this morning.

Weโ€™re halfway through the month and Iโ€™m down 6 lbs. My goal was 10 for the month so hoping๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

#16 Listened to the Keto Diet Podcast (Leanne Vogel), episode w/ Ashley Salvatori. I play with keto but I am not all in. Still can't believe that so much fat can ultimately be good for you. Especially since many of the people in my IF groups that do keto have terrible bloodwork. But i am open minded---and desperate!!

#17 Did this last weekend, but I can't seem to dump my old clothes. they are piled in bags in the bottom of my closet.

Day 3 of my no junk food challenge. I want to murder someone.

Yes !! I have a lot of dental work that needs to be done. I have a dentist phobia after a horrible experience when I was 19. I finally made the appointment and went Wednesday to come up with the plan. Itโ€™s going to cost about three times as much as my first new car!!! But hubs and I came up with a plan how to pay for it last night . Procedures will begin May 30th . I could use all the prayers or good vibes or happy thoughts you all would like to send!

17) clean out your closet! This was a great one and did it two days ago!!! Got rid of all of my super fat and fat clothes!!! Im still have a ways to go but it is starting to feel Good!! REAL GOOD ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Terrible as in how? Iโ€™m also dabbling with Keto and whatโ€™s scared me before is my liver disease and how that will relate to the high fats. But Iโ€™m all for the low carbs

and sorry to laugh at your pain but the 3 day no junk comment really made me chuckle ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

      Hi๏ปฟย everyone! Iโ€™m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and Iโ€™m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. Iโ€™ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTokโ€™s, ect.. trying to prepare my๏ปฟย mind and what to expect so Iโ€™ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and e๏ปฟxcited. However, now that Iโ€™ve done everything & itโ€™s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc Iโ€™ve tried everything and I just donโ€™t feel like I can lose weight by myself. Iโ€™m tired of being overweight my entire life. Iโ€™m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I donโ€™t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. Iโ€™m scared of complications like Iโ€™m๏ปฟgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didnโ€™t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just canโ€™t and donโ€™t possess the discipline. Iโ€™m also afraid I wonโ€™t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I donโ€™t know how to eat healthy really and donโ€™t enjoy healthyย food. I donโ€™t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!๏ปฟSomeone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.๏ปฟ

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
