I have kinfolk in Fresno and Kingsbury so I feel almost like a distant neighbor. Fresno is a very nice place to hail from, isn't it?

How long was the process from start to finish? How were the surgeons and the hospital? Just watched the seminar and now need to make the first appointment [emoji4]

Dr Higa is awasome... only thing is he is busy with surgeries sometimes at least that is what they said.. My seminar was in Feb 2018 and my first appointment was in April 19 2018.. It took me a little over a year to do all the requirements but because I had to see other specialist for my sleep apnea.. and I finished my last prerequisite on April 3rd they submitted to my insurance on the 24th of April and I got approved last monday... I choose the operation date of 8-2-19.. but the had am open appointment may 2nd that they could of done my sleeve

I did the online seminar and then called to schedule my appointment with Dr. Boone, who along with his partner Dr. Higa, came highly recommended. That initial consultation took about a month and a half wait because they are in high demand. At the consult you meet with your Dr. then you will go with your health care coordinator to schedule your weight management classes and you will be given a list of tests that you will be required to complete, but they will schedule for you. They will also give you a brochure for BariatricPsychEvaluations.com. You can call them and get your psych evaluation done right away. You will do an online questionnaire and then a quick phone interview a day or two afterward so you can scratch that off your list. My required tests were- Psych eval, labs, EGD and a manometry. I started the process Sept. 12, 2018 and they submitted my papers to insurance on March 25, 2019, then called me on March 29th to tell me insurance approved and to see if I wanted to schedule my surgery on April 4th. I chose the sleeve and it was a very easy surgery with very little pain because they are so good at what they do. The six months goes by quicker than you think it will. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask 😊

Dr. Boone is my surgeon. He’s pretty great. They have changed the requirements since my surgery. From consult to surgery was about 4 months. David is awesome for the psych visits. I have continued to see him over the years. Fresno Heart is the Ritz Carlton of hospitals with the best nurses. I have zero regrets having the sleeve. You adjust to your tiny tummy and I did follow ALL instructions and restrictions. The Protein, Water intake, and supplements are a must for life.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
