ahillig 136 Posted February 28, 2020 Had my 6 month follow up last week and I have lost a total of 85% of my excess weight! I have 13lbs left until my goal. My weight loss has completely stalled, I was stuck the majority of February and it finally started to break. Lost 2 inches over all despite only really losing a couple pounds. I was told to expect the weight loss to slow at this point. I need to get back on my game nutrition wise. Not eating a lot just not eating the best I can be. Some NSVs, I am now a size 10 in jeans and a medium in shirts! Prior to surgery I was a 22/24 in jeans and a 2XL-3XL in tops depending on the brand. Also, my CRP went from a 24 before surgery to an 8! Ideal level is 1 or below per my surgeon but he was so happy with the huge drop. 1 mr.sean reacted to this

mr.sean 60 Posted April 27, 2020 My “6 month” check in was scheduled for mid-March, but was canceled due to COVID-19. My weight loss had stalled at about 50% of my excess weight and I was feeling really down about it. I started Noom about 5 weeks ago and have slowly lost 10 more lbs. Too slowly. Now I’m ratcheting up my exercise with HIIT and body strength training on the Peloton app. Free for 90 days. 1 Bastian reacted to this

Azlanie 51 Posted May 26, 2020 I have struggled the past few weeks, being cooped up. My body has always been "slower" to lose weight and I am very happy with my progress so far. I imagine I am someone who will not get 'close' to goal until 18 months out or more. A few weeks ago, I went back to basics. I tossed out all of my full fat Condiments and cheeses. I started getting in more cardio (winter had not done me any favors) and I bought some new resistance bands so I have no more excuses. I am super close to one-derland so I have lots of motivation I started out wearing 24/26 clothes and I comfortably fit into 14/16s. I felt my collarbones for the first time since probably grade school a few months ago. I can see the outline of my muscles underneath the sagging excess skin. I can absolutely see my face gains! So glad to see so many success stories - August was a great month for us! Can't wait to hear how you all are doing a year later =D

What are some of the things that you wish you had known before? Tips? Wow I wish I started at that weight! It seems like you're doing really good! I hit my one year on 8/5 and started at 375. I currently weight 226. As far as issues, none except for the slow weight loss. I really need to start working out more or else I feel like I'm going to stay at this weight forever. bethow 114 Posted September 4, 2020 I had my one year on 8/26. sw: 315 size 3X. Bra 46DD cw: 176 size L. Bra 40 D. my weight loss has slowed down to about half a pound a week or two pounds a month. I try to exercise a minimum of 30 minutes per day five days a week. All in all, I wish I had had my surgery sooner but not bad for an old lady of 68 who feels better than she has in about 40 years. What are some of the things that you wish you had known before? Tips? I hit my one year on 8/28, so crazy how fast time flies! Anyway, I exceeded the goal my surgeon set by two lbs on my official one year appointment. His goal for me was 175, I was 173, my lowest I recorded at home is 171. I went from 275 at my initial consult, 265 at my pre-op to now and it's insanely crazy how fast and how much I've lost. They said that women rarely lose 100% of their excess weight and even rarely do they do it in the first year so I'm thrilled! My only regret is not doing this sooner, I feel so amazing! Jeans: 24-->8 Tops 2/3XL-->M/L Bra: 42C-->36B/C I have also signed up for a half marathon! I'll be running the Disney Star Wars half in April and I cannot wait! My only "problem" to date is that I cannot tolerate pork well. Even the smallest amount makes my stomach hurt. It's also wreaked havoc on my period and not in a good way. I have suspected endometriosis so that could be playing a part as well but most of my problems in that regard have been since my bypass. 1 BayougirlMrsS reacted to this
