TheMarine79 150 Posted April 28, 2019 I am having some pain on the left side under the rib cage. I breathe in and it hurts more. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?
Frustr8 7,886 Posted April 28, 2019 Underskin reinforcing, stitchery, some doctors like a stitch or two put in when they withdrew the trochars If you were a sleeper I would say that's where they withdrew the stomach you no longer need, but you're a Bypass like me so that idea doesn't fly✈. Christmas424 0 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) Experiencing the same...... the pain feels like my stomach muscles are tearing when i try to move from laying to sitting or to standing.... it also looks swollen from the outside. Its only one of the incisions that really is excruciating. 😞 Edited April 29, 2019 by Christmas424

Cher in NYC 21 Posted May 23, 2019 I had terrible pain at this exact spot that finally went away at 4 weeks post-op. I was assured by my surgeon's office that it is totally normal. It is where most of the tugging, pulling, and "manhandling" happens during surgery.
