After surgery, healing, and being at goal/mid-goal has anyone went to an amusement park and had problems with rides? I'm hoping to have surgery in late july or beginning of august. We're planning on Disneyland in March/April 2020 and maybe Universal. I'm able to ride coasters now ( I love my thrill rides!!) but I know people who've said surgeries and/or pregnancies changed their tolerance and they are no longer able to tolerate the rides. Has anyone experienced this or were you able to before and can still go on rides?

Huh, that's weird. I hadn't heard that. I haven't been to any amusement parks, but I don't feel any different like I couldn't do it now post-op as compared to pre-op.

Hey I have been hoping to go to Cedar point and Kings Island now that I am flattening my chassis out to where belts might fit me.Now are you saying I'm gonna get the "Pukies" more from the rides? You may just break my hopeful ❤, oh shoot, I'm still gonna keep losing anyway.

Interesting thought. I have always gotten car sick. I have noticed that I can read in the car now. I never thought that having a RNY would change that but maybe it did.

One of the best NSV since surgery as being able to go to Six Flags and ride any coaster. I had not been able to go on 80% of the rides in the last 15 years because of the girth I was at. I love them just the same and they feel no different now.

I have been to Cedar Point, Kings island, Knotts berry Farm and Six Flags Magic mountain since my surgery and suffered no ill effects.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
