Mp400 0 Posted April 23, 2019 (edited) Since the beginning of my weight loss journey, I am down 100 lbs, and I feel wonderful. However, I’m 6 mo post-op gastric sleeve and have stalled in my weight loss. I am not what you would call extremely active but much more so since I’ve lost some weight. My Water intake lacks, and I also find it difficult to to get in my required Protein on a daily basis without drinking at least 1 protein supplement. I have a follow up next month with my nutritionist. Jut wanting to know if anyone else has this problem and if there are any suggestions to jumpstart my weight loss again. GradyCat 3,695 Posted April 23, 2019 It's normal to have stalls from time to time. Our bodies need to rest to adjust to our having lost a great deal of weight. Stick with the basics of weighing and measuring everything you eat, get 64 oz of Water in each day, get 60 g of Protein in each day, and stay between 600-800 calories. 3 FluffyChix, Mp400 and sillykitty reacted to this
FancyChristine15 810 Posted April 23, 2019 You listed the reasons you may not be losing weight, so focus on those. Get more activity. Drink more Water. Eat more Protein. I eat 1200 calories a day, so I don't necessarily agree with Grady on the 600-800 calories a day, but I also don't remember how much I ate at 6 months post op, so maybe that's about right. But, regardless, focus on getting your protein, water, and activity up. At over 1 year post-op, I still supplement with a Protein Shake or Quest protein chips every day; if I didn't, I wouldn't get enough. 2 Mp400 and FluffyChix reacted to this
Mp400 0 Posted April 23, 2019 (edited) I’m just a bit frustrated and concerned at the same time. But I am also opened to advice and comments to get me on the weight loss path again. At looking at your statistics you are taller than me but our starting weight was about the same. I know everyone is different, but would like to know what is working for you Edited April 23, 2019 by Mp400
laniebrazell 5 Posted April 23, 2019 I use Healthy Smart drinks that I mix with my coffee....I get them from Nashua Nutrition! They are about 80-100 calories, 15 grams of protien and 7 carbs..and taste awesome! A little pricey but worth it!
