I REALLY want to get my breasts done, but also want to get pregnant

Recommended Posts

Ladies,

I have sagging skin on my inner thigh region and my belly that...eventually I will have removed. But what's really bothering me are my breasts. I would really like to get a lift and probably implants. I haven't been able to get pregnant (which is why I had the surgery in the first place). So I had it in my head I wouldn't do anything drastic like skin removal until I finally get pregnant.

Having never been blessed with children, I don't know what to expect if I get my breasts done before we start trying to conceive again.

Even if I don't breastfeed, will the fluctuation that happens during pregnancy basically put me in the same position?

I only gained 15 pounds during pregnancy but went for a DD to H. After the pregnancy they did not go down. I would suggest waiting since you have no idea how your body would respond. If you are thinking of getting something now maybe do your thighs since if you only gain 20-30 lbs. with a pregnancy that wouldn't change much. Also thigh surgery is a pretty rough recovery if you were caring for an infant or toddler in the future. Just my 2 cents.

I would wait for all plastics until after childbearing is over... maybe arm lift, but that would be it, anything else is going to get stretched out by pregnancy and implants can cause plugged milk ducts even if you don't nurse. I encourage you to breastfeed however as it is superior nutrition and helps the uterus to go back into shape faster, and the most endearing relationship bonding with a baby ever. Good luck.

Ok, thank you so much for sharing your experience! I wasn't planning on getting anything else done until after I'm done having kids (God willing!) Just was contemplating getting my breasts done, but from this and advice from friends and family, they're telling me to wait. Thank you so much for the advice, I think I'll just have to wait until after for everything put back in it's place!!! LOL

Thank you very much for your feedback as well. I didn't know about the potential fo plugged milk ducts...I don't want any unnecessary complications because I was vein 😕 I do want to try and nurse as well, I've heard the same thing. I hope I get that opportunity some day and soon. I think I just have to live with my "lava" boobs as I lovingly refer to them as for a few more years.

Wait...I went up to an H cup when pregnant and when they went back down after pregnancy they were hitting my navel! I know its tough to face these things in the mirror daily but I was in the market for a lift and it costs like 10K in the states. You don't want to have to pay that again.

I got breast implants 700ccs (its a large implant most women stay in the 300-500 range) and 3 months later I found out I was pregnant. This was 9 years ago and instead of them having the fake look (when you can totally tell a women had them done) they now have a natural look which after having children that's what I prefer. They never got saggy like a lot of women who don't have implants after pregnancy. Then 5 years later I had another child and still no complications. They still look great and I can still wear a tshirt with no bra and people still think I have a bra on lol. My sister waited to have all her children then got implants and then decided 8 years later to have one last child. She breastfed and hers still stayed perky and no sagging either.

So I would say if you want them really bad and you don't want to wait then go for it. But if it was something like a Tummy Tuck then I would tell you to wait for after kids.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
