I'm four months post-sleeve and I eat around 800 calories a day. I drink a Protein Shake for Breakfast each day. I have a slice of Colby cheese with a slice of Black Forest Ham for lunch. I have a handful of almonds for a snack. And I either have another Protein shake or another slice of ham and cheese for dinner

I had the sleeve. I'll be 6 months post-op tomorrow.
My daily meals change depending on what I have in the fridge, but generally, it goes like this:

1st meal: 1-2oz of some Protein (usually grilled chicken, but can be anything else) + 1/4 to 1/2 cup of some veggie
2nd meal: Protein Powder shake w/ instant Decaf and Benefibre
3rd meal: usually the same of what I had for the first meal.
*I try to keep my net carbs under 20g per day.

Under normal circumstances, I average about 500-600 calories a day. However, lately, I'd be lucky if I even reach 400 a day but this is because I am weaning off my PPI and I'm experiencing heartburn at times as a result so I'm not to keen on eating very much. Doc says my body is adjusting to being without it so I have to wait it out until my stomach stabilizes its acid production *crosses fingers*

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
