How many calories in the post opt plan 3 weeks out?

Recommended Posts

Hi i'm going into the 4 week soon I'm like a lot of people on here and hit a stall. But I'm wondering what the calorie limit some have for themselves? I.m following the plan and portion sizes, canned chicken 1 oz , tuna , salmon etc. Protein Shake homemade with 1/8 cup blueberries. 1 oz cod and green Beans with little cheese, of course the 1 oz scrambles egg and tablespoon of mozzarella cheese also a half of avocado. And a snack of sugar free pudding 1/2 cup. Everything i can have in my food binder. I also just stared my lose it app to keep track again. Anyways about 800 900 a day. Would love some others food choices and calories . Thanks :)

I am just starting week 4 but my doctor's plan is only 2-3 tablespoons of food per meal plus one or two Snacks. All meals are spaced out every three hours. I am eating around 400 calories a day but you should follow your doctor's food plan.

You will find that the eating plans prescribed vary greatly from doctor to doctor (or nutritionist to nutrition, for that matter). Like the poster said above, it's best to follow the plan outlined by your own team.

With that said, when I was at the 4 week mark I was taking in probably 300-400 cals on good days.

Hum, Well I guess everyone is different I'm definitely getting more then 300 400 calories a day for sure. following my plan, not sure why at 800 calories a day the scale is stuck at my current weight, hopefully it moves soon Thanks :)

I'm on week 3. My nut wants us to reach 600 calories a day. Today I aimed for 422. I am a bit under because I can never eat the entire portion besides yogurt in the am.

I log everything on mfp, as best I can.

I eat yogurt with Protein Powder for Breakfast. Oikos triple.

Mid morning i drink a Protein shape boosted with protein powder.

Late lunch i eat this lentil Soup i made. High protein tofu, lentils, Bone Broth, carrots, onions, celery, garlic, spinach, 1 tsp olive oil for entire batch, fresh thyme

Dinner: bibb lettuce, low sodium turkey breast, half a wedge of laughing cow

My nut said to measure by volume (2oz cup or 1/4 cup). Not by weight.

I weigh everything out to make sure i am hitting my protein goals.

Oh and 2 SF popsicles

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
